Yoga may be practiced by anyone, regardless of level of perceived physical ability.
Benefits of a dedicated Yoga practice…
Yoga practices utilize a wide variety of tools to systematically challenge the body and expand the breath in order to train the mind. Yoga unifies our being at 5 levels ( koshas), which translates as treasures.
At a physical level, Yoga makes your body stronger and more flexible, gives you better balance and bone density.
At an energetic level yoga practice increases breath capacity, digestive function and blood flow to eventually stimulate all of your body systems so you have more energy.
At the level of the mind and emotions, Yoga is absolutely your best choice for relieving stress! Yoga improves your concentration and focus, relieves your muscle tension, liberates you from anxiety, elevates your mood and promotes your compassion for self and others.
At the level of the spirit, Yoga is not a religion, but it is a contemplative and spiritual practice. In the quieted mind state achieved through Yoga practice, we may come to deeply know ourselves, experience our connection with all other hearts and minds and find our path…. in other words, we come to see the light ! So….what are you waiting for?

Yoga for Stress Relief – Relax and Release: This class features a medley of relaxing yoga practices with an emphasis on our subtle body energy. Feel how taking different physical shapes spontaneously expands the breath into the body’s primary energy centers ( Chakras). Learn selected tools to expand your breath capacity (Pranayama) and experience different directional flows of prana ( Pranavayus). Enhance your perception of these subtle energy flows by practicing hand gestures (Mudras). Discover how to release deep myofascial tension that can constrict flow of circulation and energy assisted by straps, balls and rollers. If your practice has been limited to asana, you may be surprised at the power of these tools to deepen your practice. The last Thursday of the month will feature deep guided relaxation through Yoga Nidra.
